the dark cow of mystery

Let the tears flow, for a new day will come.
Tommorrow is a skirt day. Some would call this a good thing but it isn't. The events of tuesday have cast dark shadow over the events of this week. my heart is heavy with the thought of the loss of life inflicted by apparent "islamic" terrorists, but it is still heavier from the attempts at finding justice by harassing of americans by fellow americans who saw fit to add insult to injury in the Arab/Muslim American community. Also, the lack of any outward change in demeanor or actions by many of my classmates and even a few teachers disturbs me. how can they be as mean/arrogant after such a terrible blow to the american psyche. The loss of life is relatively small, less than one percent of New Yorks population, but everyone knows someone or is someone who has been affected. In a world were everyone is separated from everyone else by only ten to twenty relationships, how can people still go around like that?

Also this is our first skirt day for many of the girls, so we get to see a shit load of freshman/sophomores who don't know how to were a skirt. I don't like having to walk up a stairway having to look up a girl's skirt(not that i mind terribly:) or walk down the hall cuting through grundles of hordes of gawky prepubesant boys surrounding girls who's skirts barely cover their own waist. Also, most don't look good in a skirt. When a girl isn't comfortable in a skirt and wears one, they don't look good. It doesn't matter if it's a dropdead bombshell or a (insert politacally correct word here), if they aren't comfortable in, they won't have the right poise to look good. Also, you have the larger members of the student body who seem to want people to look at there legs. a prime example would Jessica hertz(names have been changed(not that much)). When she wears a skirt, she usually asks me what i think of her new shoes, or points out how ugly her socks are. If she's not trying to get people to look, then i'll be a blue butted monkey.

When they1re low
The fire burns from better days
And he screems why
I said I don1t know
The catastrophic hymnes from yesterday
Of misery"--
